We were lucky enough to have Cody’s talented sister take our engagement photos and she did the most beautiful job. I was about to have foot surgery in early February and be out of commission for five months, so we had to take these quick. We were having a fall wedding and I really wanted an autumn vibe for these photos and I think we got pretty lucky and were able to make it happen in February.
I’m all about options, so we shot at three different locations in three different outfits. The first location (with me in the purple) was actually a venue we had looked at but decided not to go with – Elliston Vineyards – but it was too pretty not to use in some way! The second location, was just some train tracks down the road in Sunol that Cody’s sister had seen on our way up and they turned out to be perfect! And the third location, where we really made fall happen was Alum Rock Park in San Jose.
All of the photos turned out absolutely beautiful, but here are just a few of our favorite shots from that day:
And then of course we had to do a couple cliché “save the date” shots, which we actually didn’t end up even using on our save the dates. They still turned out super cute though.
Thank you Meghan for your dedicated time with us that day! You really made the experience comfortable and fun – and you are incredibly talented – your eye for certain shots was so helpful and greatly appreciated. You made my ideas come to life!
