Choosing the Bridesmaid Dresses

I knew that I wanted my bridesmaids in a dark plum purple color. I went with a longer dress because it was an evening wedding in autumn, but I didn’t want them to be stick-straight – I wanted them to be flowy, whispy and romantic – something they might even be able to wear again to a wedding or fancy work event. I wanted the style to be something that would be flattering on everyone and something that they would all be comfortable in. I wanted my girls to feel beautiful and be able to move around on that dance floor!

We searched and searched and I could not find anything I liked until we finally found the perfect option: Wtoo Maids Style 209. I loved it so much I wanted one for myself! I loved how it had a flowy slit in the front that gave the entire dress movement, and that the top of the dress could be worn open or closed – whichever way the girls were most comfortable with. We ordered them in the purple color you see on the left.

For my matron of honor, we went with something a bit more modest. I didn’t want the color or style to be too different from the others – so I was lucky enough to have the help of one of my mom’s best friends and she found a dress made by Watters (related to Wtoo) that matched the color and material exactly: Watters Emily 8548i. It was perfect. And again, we went with the purple color you see on the left.

We were able to order both dresses from Brides of California in San Jose.

The girls looked absolutely lovely in the dresses and I could not have been happier with how the look turned out. The dresses went perfectly with the style and vibe of our wedding.
