A Year & a Half

Yesterday marked a year and a half together. We have been through so many things as a couple already, and it is so exciting to think of what the future might hold for us.

We may not celebrate “monthaversaries”, but we do like to celebrate in some way every six months with a fancy dinner date or trip. Last year for our one-year anniversary, we took a trip to Disneyland and we hope to be able to go back again for our two-year anniversary.

While we may not have taken a trip for our year and a half mark, there was no shortage of love and mushiness. We both took the cheesy route, each of us posting a picture and a sweet message on social media, and ran outside at dusk to catch a glimpse of the beautiful sunset. Cody cooked me a delicious dinner of BBQ chicken drumsticks, loaded mashed potatoes, biscuits,  grilled asparagus, and ceasar salad. My contribution? I don’t like meat on the bone, but I know he has been craving drumsticks so I insisted he make them. Also, I booked reservations at a nice restaurant for a date night on Friday. We sipped wine, put on Lush face masks, and relaxed together. Hooray for eighteen months!
